Artist Statement
I’ve been an artist all my life. I even hold a Fine Arts degree. But as we all know, life gets in the way of pursuing our passions, and I had to retire before I could do that. When I permanently moved to Montana a few short years ago, I had one goal in mind: to pick up watercolor painting again. I wanted to find other artists to paint with, to be friends with, to learn and grow with. The Montana Watercolor Society has accomplished all of that for me, and then some.
I am not the best watercolorist around, but I am actively pursuing my dream, growing and improving as an artist and am enjoying life in this great state. A lot of the credit for this goes to MTWS. I’m looking forward to meeting new artist friends at the Society’s many events, shows and workshops, and to advancing the MTWS mission: “To encourage the advancement, study, appreciation and creation of watercolor painting in Montana and beyond.”
