President's Message
Each
time I begin a new painting, I feel like I step into the sun.
To me, the sunshine is in my heart.
I realize that each new painting is a special gift.
The newness fills me with anticipation as I feel urged to notice
the brilliant colors and their subtle nuances as they flow onto the
paper. This gives me
opportunity to experience the facets of watermedia, and a chance to grow
in the understanding of what I can accomplish.
The moist paper causes me to expand my world as I notice the
intricate patterns that develop before my eyes.
Sometimes I marvel at the perfection of the glistening washes
across my paper. There is so
much to discover as I learn to value the uniqueness of each painting.
Each is one of a kind—sort of like a snowflake.
As I take the opportunity to share my gratitude for the privilege
of being part of MTWS, it makes me feel alive in this beautiful world.
Thank you for being members of MTW along with me, for it is truly
an enjoyable experience! Our
challenge each day is to share ourselves with others as we open our
hearts, and pick up our paintbrushes to create paintings to share with
everyone.
