Jessica Glenn Artist Statement Jessica grew up drawing and painting in northwestern Pennsylvania and earned her B.F.A. from Kendall College of Art & Design in MI. Watercolor has been her medium of choice, ever since she was exposed to it by a few talented professors. Soon after college, she packed everything she could fit in her little car and headed for the big skies and mountains of Montana, where she is still happily settled and passionately paints from her home studio. The intention of her subject matter--namely antiquated structures, Western cultural objects, and angular forms in nature--is to tell a subtle story, to inspire a closer look, and a moment of private study and appreciation for thoughtfully crafted areas of character and definition. Jessica is a signature member of the Montana Watercolor Society. She exhibits her award-winning work frequently in shows at the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell, MT and other National juried shows. She is represented by Whitefish Pottery /Stillwater Gallery in Whitefish, MT, Persimmon Gallery in Bigfork, MT, Artists on Main in Ennis, MT, and Tendoy Fine Art in Dillon, MT. jessicaglennart.com Facebook: Jessica Glenn Art
Roberta J Burruss Artist Statement As a visual artist, I enjoy believing my work may contribute to an individual's enjoyment of life; in the form of a painting, an event, or even an advertising campaign, watching the power of art make a difference is exciting to me!
With watercolor painting, my intent is to utilize the medium’s unique qualities and give full expression to the essence I find in the landscape. When I see a person connect with a painting, it is nice to envision the art providing them with joy for many years.
Awarded Signature Membership by The Montana Watercolor Society in 2006. Artistic Employment; Illustration, Art Framing, Graphic Design, Porcelain Painting, Event Coordination, Watercolor Painting Instruction
