Artist’s Statement

​Voermans is a Signature Member of the Montana Watercolor Society.  A Montana native, Voermans began painting in 1992 and works in watermedia as well as watercolor.  She has had a number of paintings juried into Watermedia, a national show.

Voermans enjoys abstract expressionism and using out-of-the-mainstream surfaces.  

After studying under a number of professional artists, she has moved from realism to impressionism to abstract expressionism.  She loves a sensuous, abstractly painted surface and also enjoys using out of the mainstream surfaces with collage​.
