Sallie Bowen - Montana Artist

Sallie Bowen– Artist Statement
To participate in art is to celebrate life.

My paintings reflect the places in which I’ve lived and traveled, my memories and imagination.

Art ventures have taken me to France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Japan, China and in much of the U.S. Landscapes, skyscapes, historic buildings, and dramatic skies all inspire my watercolors, acrylics and oils.

I paint on location and in my studio. Quiet, intimate places or weather events excite my creative juices. Combining travel with painting is a privilege. Teaching drawing and painting is a pleasure and a way of sharing training and experience
